Estimate chargeable weight
4.80 kg
How the calculation works
The calculator uses the parcel’s length, width and height in centimeters. It multiplies those dimensions and divides the result by the selected volumetric divisor. The larger of actual weight and volumetric weight becomes the illustrative chargeable weight.
For example, a 45 × 32 × 20 cm parcel has a volume of 28,800 cubic centimeters. With a divisor of 6,000, the volumetric result is 4.80 kg. If the physical parcel weighs 2.40 kg, the volumetric figure is larger. A live route may therefore bill from the space the carton occupies rather than only its scale weight.
Why this is not an official LitBuy shipping quote
The result does not include a live route price. Available routes can differ by destination, product restrictions, dimensions, declared contents and current logistics conditions. Billing increments, minimum charges, insurance, optional packaging, service choices and destination taxes can also affect total cost. Use the calculator to compare packing scenarios, then confirm all live information before parcel submission.
Ways to test a parcel plan
- Compare the original packaging with a smaller safe carton.
- Model shoe-box removal only after considering protection and product value.
- Check whether compressible clothing changes the dimensions enough to matter.
- Separate restricted or fragile goods when route compatibility is uncertain.
- Use rehearsal packing when better packed dimensions could change the route decision.
A lighter or smaller parcel is useful only when the remaining packaging still protects the contents and the selected route accepts the product mix.
Plan with packed data
Inbound item records and seller packaging do not always describe the final international carton. The warehouse may combine items, add protection or remove optional packaging. For a high-uncertainty parcel, a rehearsal result can provide a better view of proposed packed weight and dimensions before final route choice. Final billing still follows the applicable live process and verified parcel data.
LitBuy shipping calculator FAQ
Which volumetric divisor should I use?
Use the divisor stated for the live route you are evaluating. The 5,000 and 6,000 options here are comparison inputs, not a claim about every route.
Does removing a shoe box always reduce cost?
No. It can reduce dimensions, but the change may not alter the billable tier and can reduce protection.
Where can I learn about packed-weight checks?
Read the rehearsal parcel guide for a decision process using proposed packed dimensions and route constraints.
